Bonjela provides effective relief from mouth ulcers, soothing the pain and helping you to go about your day without discomfort. It also helps to relieve associated mouth pain such as that caused by braces, dentures or cold sores.
Bonjela contains choline salicylate and cetalkonium chloride which work together to provide effective pain relief, directly at the root of its cause. By using a product directly into the mouth, this can act quicker and more effectively than if you take oral painkillers, which need to work their way through your digestive system before taking effect.
Although mouth ulcers, cold sores and other mouth pain will go away on its own (usually within a few days) but can cause pain in the meantime. Soothing it with Bonjela provides fast relief while the problem heals. It also helps to reduce inflammation and fight infection.
Before using the product, check that the cap seal is unbroken. Squeeze out 1cm of gel and massage it onto the sore area. This can be repeated every 3 hours. If you are using Bonjela for denture sores then do not apply the gel directly onto the dentures and wait at least 30 minutes before replacing them in the mouth.
Do not give to children or adolescents under the age of 16. Do not use more Bonjela than the label tells you to. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days then consult a doctor or dentist.
You should cease using Bonjela immediately and contact your doctor if you experience any side effects or if you notice signs of an allergic reaction.
