Senocalm is a medicine used to treat IBS symptoms and to help stop them reoccuring, including bloating, stomach pains and discomfort.
Senocalm contains simethicone and peppermint oil. Simethicone allows any trapped air bubbles (that could be causing pain and discomfort) to come together, making them easier to pass naturally. Peppermint oil is an extremely effective ingredient in treating IBS and its symptoms.
IBS (or irritable bowel syndrome) affects around 10% of the population and tends to affect sufferers for life. Treating symptoms with Senocalm offers fast results, relief from discomfort, and a lower risk of future flare-ups. The medicine is also gentle on the body and contains herbal ingredients.
The capsules should be taken orally with a glass of water, either after a meal or before you go to bed. Adults and children over the age of 14 should take 2-3 capsules up to 3 times a day (with a maximum of 9 capsules per day). Children aged between 6 and 14 should take 1 capsule up to 3 times a day (with a maximum of 3 capsules per day).
If you forget a dose then you should take the next one as planned; do not double up on a dose to make up for a missed one. If you take too much then you should contact a doctor.
Before using this product, always read the patient information leaflet (enclosed) to make sure that it is the appropriate medication for you. This product is intended to relieve symptoms of IBS; it is not designed to be used to treat constipation or diarrhoea.
